The existing space was tired and VERY beige. Our task was to give this generously sized bathroom a facelift. Being an ensuite we wanted to transform this space into the perfect
Our home owners really loved the current layout so our aim was to keep all the key areas the same, but make them more functional and add elegance aesthetically.
The tiles in this space ooze opulence. We installed a combination of two stunning porcelain terrazzo look tiles, one in white for the window wall and the grey for the floor tile and vanity wall. These tiles have a lappato finish which gives them a slight sheen effect.
All of the remaining walls were tiled in white undulated subway tiles, laid in a vertical stacked pattern. Laying them in this pattern gives the space height. This texture has a lovely rippling effect. All of the tiles work in harmony together, giving a clean and crisp aesthetic. Our clients wanted a hint of the industrial style in the bathroom while still looking like it was apart of their home. The use of these tiles does exactly that.
The custom vanity uses a combination of concrete, walnut timber veneer, tan leather handles. Adorned on top are two elegant solid surface basins and finished off with custom finish gunmetal tapware which is used throughout the whole space.
In between the vanity and semi-recessed mirror cabinets we installed a narrow shelf which is very convenient for perfume and cologne bottles along with other small day to day items.
We replaced our client's claw foot bath with an ellipse shaped Victoria and Albert bath...this is a showstopper, paired with a floor mount bath mixer and handshower which is handy for washing down the bath.
Tucked behind in its own little nook is the toilet. It is positioned in the perfect location, out of sight and providing privacy.
