Gymea Main Bathroom
The existing bathroom had a three-way layout, out client wanted to keep this layout as it was practical for their three teenage sons. We wanted to infuse the space with a touch of masculinity whilst remaining cohesive with the rest of the home.
The custom vanity uses a combination of concrete, walnut timber veneer and tan leather handles. A round stone basin with a speckled finish sits on top and is accessorised with matte black tapware which is used throughout the whole space, adding that masculine touch.
We specified two tiles for this space. An ash concrete look porcelain tile for the floor and three of the wet room walls paired with a denim blue glass penny mosaic which is laid on the wall behind the vanity and bath. The mosaic tile looks like it’s dancing as the natural light and shadows change throughout the day.
The tiled bath wall anchors the space and is the feature of the wet zone, along with the stone bath sitting directly in front of it. We also designed in a niche behind the bath bordered with a matt black trim. This is the perfect location for adding greenery to a space along with your bath product essentials.
