The majority of the time we are engaged to design people’s dream homes. In this case however we were engaged to transform a rundown home with the intention of immediate re-sale.
Our design consultation provided the home owners with ideas for the kitchen they hadn’t thought about previously. Maximising storage in a home is always an important priority to consider for potential buyers. We came up with the idea of creating a walk in pantry by stealing some space from the adjoining laundry. The laundry was then redesigned into a combined laundry and powder room.
The selection of kitchen finishes was a modern take on the home original 70’s structure. The teak timber which is also used in the bathroom upstairs makes its appearance on cabinet fronts.
The timber works beautifully paired with the lower charcoal coloured cupboards. The stone benchtops in their grey concrete look provide a neutral balance against the strong tones in the newly laid solid timber floor.
The nickel pendant lights and marble herringbone splashback tiles add yet another layer to this modern kitchen. The quality workmanship of this kitchen was completed by Paiano Kitchens.
