Pallier Residence

What a beautiful transformation this family home has experienced! Our transformations are often not just about transforming spaces, but also about transforming our clients’ way of living. We love functionality, practicality and comfortable home living.

Birdblack Design firstly removed all the internal walls within the Living, Dining and Kitchen space. This enabled as the perfect platform for designing a gorgeous open-plan addition to the home. Open-plan is our absolute favourite for everyday living and extra-curricular entertaining.

Our clients desired an earthy, contemporary style, incorporating marble and timbers with a grey colour palette. The three skylights we installed maximise natural lighting, really brightening the space.

The skylights sit above the star of the show: the Kitchen Island. With a combination of a manmade marble-look benchtop featuring blue and white colour tones and a white stacked mosaic, its subtlety is divine. The white stacked mosaic is also used as the splashback in the Kitchen. This tile provides texture to the kitchen. Yet another element of texture is the v-groove panelling on the barstool side of the Island. Birdblack Design loves texture and layering!

Whilst the Kitchen Island may be the star of the show, our collective favourite aspect is the pull-out appliance cupboard which houses the coffee machine and toaster. You simply HAVE to check out the Galleries to see what we mean!!

With custom gunmetal finishes, this home is super sleek and contemporary. Elegant Zetr power points add simplicity to this down-to-earth home, as does the new engineered oak timber flooring.

The final aspects to highlight are the new Kitchen windows and bi-fold door to the lush, green outdoor space. The servery window is absolutely perfect for alfresco dining and outdoor living.
