Taylor Street

Located in the picturesque coastal town of Kiama NSW. Both home owners had owned several properties prior, but this was now the dream home where they can slowly wind down amongst the laid-back nature of the surrounding neighbourhood.

The design brief contained two parts. Upstairs was to be the ‘dream home’, a representation of their personalities and a place they could enjoy with their extended families.
Downstairs was to be converted from the dilapidated and unused space into rental accommodation.

The original laundry upstairs was looking extremely tired and lacked any functional bench space or storage. We were able to completely strip out this room and include maximised working areas. We used a combination of full height storage for brooms and mops along with overhead units. We made sure there was comfortable room for both a washing machine and dryer. While still allow adequate space for a toilet which guests use when entertaining.
We made good use of a blank wall by installing a fold down ironing board.

The finishes we selected relate back to the other wet rooms in the home. It is now a fresh and very appealing space to use by both the home owners and visitors.
